PuntRdVicRoads is investigating short to medium term traffic management options to improve the way the Hoddle Street-Punt Road corridor operates.

During the recent consultation process the community contributed 668 individual comments. There were a further 2,920 likes and dislikes from people who either supported other ideas or didn’t agree with particular suggestions. While you can no longer submit feedback, you can view the comments at https://vicroads.mysocialpinpoint.com/hoddle-punt-corridor#/

The main theme of the online feedback received was about freight and traffic (54%), followed by observations regarding tram and bus travel across the corridor (18%). The community also made important contributions about pedestrian and cycling facilities, road safety and other concerns. The majority of those who participated were private car users (30%) with the next most common respondent either a nearby resident or public transport user.

Vic Roads will use this information as they progress with the development of options to improve the operation of the Hoddle Street – Punt Road corridor. A presentation of final options will be made to the Victorian Government in early 2016.
